Loneliness - A poem

 

Nobody loves me, nobody cares,
I'm just a face among the crowd,
A lonely soul with nobody to share
My thoughts and feelings cannot be shouted out loud.

I walk the streets with downcast eyes
Hoping to find a friendly face,
But all I find are cold goodbyes
And an empty, lonely place.

I try to laugh and try to smile
To hide the hurt inside my heart,
But all the while I'm falling apart.
 

I'll never know
The warmth of love and tender touch,

I'll always be alone,
A lonely soul loved by none.
